Statom Group has been appointed to deliver Phase 3 of the Abbey Road residential development, a £21 million continuation phase located in the centre of Barking, just a three-minute walk from Barking Underground Station.

This phase marks Statom Group’s third involvement on the overall development, having previously delivered reinforced concrete frame works on earlier phases of the scheme.

Project Overview

Abbey Road – Phase 3 comprises four high-rise residential blocks ranging from 14 to 27 storeys, constructed above a podium structure at Level 1. The project is being delivered within a dense urban environment and incorporates a variety of modern construction methodologies to support programme efficiency and quality.

Slipform technology is being utilised for the construction of the high-rise cores, supported by two tower cranes erected by Trident. The Unipanel / Uniwall method of construction is being implemented alongside the reinforced concrete frame build, requiring close coordination between structural and logistics teams.
