Statom Group has reported a significant improvement in its health, safety and environmental (HSE) performance throughout 2025, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to protecting its people, projects and the communities in which it operates.
Despite an increase in working hours across the business, Statom achieved a reduction in overall accidents and incidents during the year. The results demonstrate that business growth has been matched by stronger operational controls, improved planning and enhanced site leadership.
One of the most notable achievements in 2025 has been a substantial increase in near-miss reporting across Statom’s operations. This rise reflects a maturing safety culture, with operatives and site teams actively identifying hazards before harm occurs. Proactive reporting has enabled earlier intervention, shared learning and continuous improvement across multiple sites nationwide.
During the year, the Group also recorded:
-
Lower incident rates year-on-year compared with 2024
-
Improved RIDDOR frequency performance, outperforming the current industry average TRIR/AFR benchmark of 0.12
-
A strong volume of good-practice reports, highlighting positive behaviours and consistently high site standards
-
A continued focus on preventing service strikes, environmental incidents and asset damage through targeted controls and effective supervision
Between October 2023 and December 2025, Statom has delivered millions of safe working hours across its operations. This achievement has been supported by enhanced training programmes, visible leadership at all levels, robust reporting systems and consistent engagement with the workforce.
Commenting on the performance, Statom reiterated that safety is not measured by statistics alone, but by the behaviours, decisions and culture demonstrated every day on site.
Looking ahead to 2026, Statom Group remains firmly focused on preventing harm, learning from data and raising standards even further ensuring that everyone goes home safe at the end of every shift.
