We are delighted that Haventus have formally appointed Glasgow-based Statom Group North Limited as delivery partner for civil engineering works at Ardersier.
Haventus, backed by Quantum Capital Group and supported by a credit facility from the Scottish National Investment Bank and the UK Investment Bank, are aiming to transform Scotland’s largest brownfield port into a world-class facility for the deployment and servicing of offshore wind installations and has entrusted Statom Group with this vital project.
This significant civil engineering works package encompasses a RC Capping Structure to form the new Quayside and a RC Capping Structure to the new anchor wall (both in excess of 600 meters long), the excavation and backfilling required to install the anchors between the 2 new walls (over 300,000m3 in total), and also an apron structure extending 100m back from the new Quayside over it’s full length (circa 65,000m2).
Engaged as Principal Contractor, Statom Group is actively engaging with the local supply chain and community to provide investment and employment opportunities during the construction of this development.
Haventus’ project in Ardersier holds national strategic significance by contributing to the vital need for port space to support large scale deployment of offshore wind.
